Uncertainty Looms Over Local Businesses as Development Rumors Swirl Around Foxfield Plaza

Foxborough Town Manager Kevin Paicos said there is a developer interested in the Foxfield Plaza property but can't say who or why.

What is going on with the Foxfield Plaza? Rumors have begun swirling around town of a new grocery store moving into the plaza near the Mansfield town line - the same location where Big Y was supposed to be developed before plans fell through - but nothing has been confirmed by town officials or the property's landlord, Harvey Smith. Foxborough Town Manager Kevin Paicos confirmed to Foxborough Patch last week there is a developer interested in buying the Foxfield Plaza but wouldn't say, per an agreement with the potential buyer, who the developers are or what the development will be. William Clark Sr. William E. Clark Sr., 79, of South Easton, died May 14 2013. He was a resident of South Easton for 40 years. Mr. Clark was an Airman 2nd Class in the U.S. Air Force and a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a maintenance mechanic for the Grace Company in Canton for 25 years before retiring in 1996. From 1954 to 1959, he served in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant Commander stationed on the aircraft carrier the USS Shangri-La. FOXBOROUGH Foxborough Town Meeting Approves Invensys Tax Break on $33M Renovation Project Arguably the most important article approved at Foxborough’s Annual Town Meeting Monday was Article 28, the Invensys TIF agreement, which grants the company with over 100-year-old roots in town a 15-year tax break to invest $33 million into renovating its existing buildings on Mechanic Street and Neponset Avenue and retain at least 900 jobs in town. "At the end of the day it is really quite a simple proposal," said Foxborough Town Manager Kevin Paicos on Town Meeting floor Monday. Sunday, May 11th: 3:06 a.m. – Breanna A. Scaringello, 18, of Franklin, was arrested and charged with OUI liquor near Central Street in Foxborough after police were called to the area for a reported assault.   At 3:13 a.m., a caller reported there was a man at her door requesting to come inside. He reportedly told the caller he was assaulted by a neighbor. The caller told police she did not know the person and would not let him inside the house. The caller told police when she told the man at her door she was calling the police he replied, “please do” and waited at the door. Police arrived and transported the man to the residence he said he was assaulted at. The man was then transported to Shaw’s plaza in Sharon and Sharon police …
