NOT RECOMMENDED. I lived at the Lodge at Foxborough in 201/2012. Apartment layout is lovely, but hallway smell is overcologned and spider webs in recessed lighting are everpresent despite calls to management. The model i was shown had a large soaker tub, but on move in day, my apartment had a standard tub. The dog droppings were constant and excessive and as a first floor resident with a patio, disgusting. If you work and receive a lot of packages, all packages are delivered to the clubhouse which you can only pick up from 9am to 6pm.
The last straw was when the local staff said I could leave two weeks early with several months notice and not have a financial penalty. I was told there wasn't problem when I turned in my keys, and then got a bill for those two weeks. No discussion, just "we stand by the written agreement signed by both parties" over and over again. A verbal agreement about anything with their staff is meaningless. They promise to keep the grounds clean in writing, but when they don't, I have no recourse. They aren't held to the same standards.
Right after I sold my house in Sharon, I moved into the Avalon. I left a couple of weeks early (with notice) and they said there would be no penalty if they could rent it out-which they did! Further, if you are a commuter into Boston, Sharon has resident parking. The Mansfield station which serves the lodge costs $85/month to park and is a $25 zone increase over Sharon. Lodge vs Avalon. Avalon a clear winner.
