Myra Kraft Named In Boston Magazine's "Most Powerful Women" List

Myra Kraft named to the annual list of the 50 most powerful women in Boston.

Myra Kraft, President of the New England Charitable Foundation, is named in the “Most Powerful Women in Boston” list by Boston Magazine.

Each year, Boston magazine releases its annual list of the 50 most powerful women in Boston. These 50 women "have in more ways and fields than ever, are stepping up and taking the reins in the hub," according to Boston Magazine. 

Kraft was honored for her work as President of the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation, based out of Foxborough. Kraft, wife of Patriot owner Robert Kraft, gives back to communities by directing funds from the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation to finance efforts such as after-school sports programs for children.

The New England Patriots Charitable Foundation was established in 1994 when Robert Kraft purchased the New England Patriots football team. The primary mission of the Foundation is to help the youth and families of New England through donations to a variety of programs.

To date, the Foundation has donated Patriots/Revolution tickets to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston as well as donating to support numerous health initiatives including the Robert K. Kraft Family Blood Donor Center at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Most recently, the Kraft family gave a $20 million gift to Partners Healthcare to help launch a program aimed at attracting doctors and nurses to Massachusetts community health centers.
