The practice inside Gillette Stadium will take place on July 29.

For the seventh consecutive summer, the New England Patriots will thank local residents for their continued support by holding a special in-stadium practice at Gillette Stadium on Monday, July 29.

The free event, which begins at 6:30 p.m., requires a complimentary ticket for entry and is exclusively for Patriots’ season ticket holders and residents of Foxborough and South Walpole. Season ticket holders can find their complimentary in-stadium practice tickets in their season ticket booklets while Foxborough and South Walpole residents can log on to TicketMaster through the following links to print their tickets:

A small number of preprinted tickets will be available at the Foxboro Senior Center beginning Tuesday, July 23, for seniors or those without access to a computer. Proof of residency is required to obtain preprinted tickets.

Gates for the in-stadium practice open at 5 p.m., the same time as the Patriots Hall of Fame induction ceremony of legendary broadcaster Gil Santos and former linebacker and three-time Super Bowl champion Tedy Bruschi on the NRG Plaza outside The Hall at Patriot Place presented by Raytheon. The induction ceremony is free and open to the public.

Last season, the Patriots welcomed its largest crowd to the annual in-stadium practice as 22,633 season ticket holders and Foxborough residents enjoyed a night of free football under the lights of Gillette Stadium. Over the years, this event has become a unique way for the organization to show appreciation to its community and loyal fan base.

“We started the tradition as an added amenity to thank our season ticket holders for their dedication to the team and, as we do as often as we can, we included Foxborough residents to thank them for their support as well,” said Dan Murphy, Gillette Stadium’s Vice President of External Affairs.

Fans arriving early to the practice will have an opportunity to sit close to the field as stadium seating for the event is general admission. Parking for the event is free and concessions will be open inside the stadium during the practice.

Further enhancing the fan experience, the event includes detailed explanations of drills over the PA system, giving observers an understanding of why the players practice certain things and how it translates into an actual game.

“For residents who already like to attend training camp practices, this is a great opportunity to learn more about what they are watching,” Murphy said. “As the players go through their drills, we use the PA system to explain each drill and its purpose, as well as how it fits into the program of a typical practice.”
