NFL Player Asks North Korea to ‘Bomb Foxborough First’ with Nuclear Missiles in Series of Idiotic Tweets

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson takes rivalry with the New England Patriots to a new level Wednesday through social media.

After news broke that North Korea’s military has been cleared to attack the U.S. using “smaller, lighter and diversified” nuclear weapons, one NFL player weighed in on the conflict with a series of idiotic tweets that included a request to “bomb Foxborough.”

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson took his rivalry with the New England Patriots to another level Wednesday night with the following tweets on his Twitter handle, STVN (@StevieJohnson13)

“North Korea tripping hard right now. Chill out with that Nuke talk. #uMadBro.”

And then one hour later …

“War is nothing to be played with. I apologize North Korea … but if y'all do bomb 1st... Bomb Foxboro, Mass. Sincerely, #BillsMafia.”

After receiving some backlash for his remarks from Twitter users on the social media platform, Johnson clarified his tweet.

“I know some of yall took it too serious … but I have Much Respect for The Pats along with Every other NFL Team. Gonna to be a Great #NFL2013 … PatsFans i lo...like yall also. Ask any1 in my fam. Ive said TheBoro is my fav place to play-bkuz you Pats fans are Live! BUT not for long.”

Johnson taking the Bills' rivalry to this magnitude likely has something to do with the fact the Patriots are 23-3 against the Bills since 2000 and have not lost to Buffalo in Foxborough since a 16-13 overtime defeat on Nov. 5, 2000 – Bill Belichick’s first year as coach of the Pats.

It’s easy to see Johnson was simply making light of a serious situation but his attempt to humor missed the mark for many – especially here in Foxborough - and served as the latest example why professional athletes should just stick to sports.
