Football is Back in Foxborough

Players agree to deal to end NFL lockout.

Mark your calendar; July 25 is the day that football got back to business. The New England Patriots are ready to get back to work at Gillette and businesses in Foxborough are ready to serve anxious ticket holders and fans throughout the season.

According to the NFL.com, the NFL Players Association executive board and 32 team representatives voted unanimously Monday to approve the terms of a deal with owners.

The players' vote puts an end to the four-and-a half-month lockout.

A joint press conference, to announce the end of the lockout, was held with NFL Players Association executive director DeMaurice Smith and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

One recurring theme throughout the press conference was the recognition of New England Patriots owner, Robert Kraft's, presence and dedication throughout the lockout process.

"[Mr. Kraft helped us save football, we are gracious for his family, even in s weakest moments, she allowed Mr. Kraft to attend these meetings]," summed up Colts C Jeff Saturday in the emotional press conference. 

According to the Associated Press, the signed agreement means that NFL clubs would be able to start signing 2011 draft picks and rookie free agents on Tuesday.

Starting on Wednesday, 10 teams would open camp, including the Patriots.

The exhibition opener on August 7, The Hall of Fame game between Chicago and St. Louis, was canceled due to time restraints.

The question now is, what is next for the New England Patriots?

New England Patriot fan, Jason Hernie, summed up the answer to that question with only two words.

"Superbowl Champions," he said.

The Patriots will officially kick off the in Miami on September 12.
