MIAA Schools Will Vote on Football Playoff Plan in the Fall

The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Board of Directors voted to allow all the schools vote on a new football proposal in the fall. The playoffs would put all of the state finals at Gillette Stadium.

 

The fate of a new statewide football playoff proposal will now be taken in the fall by all Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association, according a report on boston.com. The plan is to have the state championships played at Gillette Stadium.

By an 11-2 vote, the MIAA Athletic Association's Board of Directors decided to put the volted to the member schools in October at a possible a high school in Central Massachusetts. If the board of directors had voted to approved yesterday, the plan would have been approved and put into motion. Instead, supporters will have to wait until the fall.
