McCourty Visits The Hall At Patriot Place

Patriot star, Devin McCourty, holds a Q&A session Tuesday night at The Hall.

Devin McCourty, cornerback of the New England Patriots, was the featured guest at the Patriots Hall of Fame speaker series Tuesday night.

McCourty sat comfortable in front of a 150-person crowd as he fielded questions ranging in topics from "his most memorable interception" to "his favorite bakery in New Jersey. "

Dressed in a blue t-shirt that read, "be true," McCourty reminisced on the day that led him to New England.

"I was in the bathroom when Mr. Kraft called and told me that I was about to get drafted to the Patriots. I could not have been happier," said McCourty.

One fan asked McCourty which Patriot player he admires the most.

"I admire Tom Brady. He is one of the most accomplished players in the league," said McCourty. "I remember first meeting Tom. He introduced himself to me, like I didn't already know who he was."

Before the Patriots drafted McCourty there was speculation in the league that the Patriot’s rival New York Jets would draft him.

"I am originally from the New York and New Jersey area. The media kept reporting that I would be drafted by the Jets," McCourty said.

Loud "boos" quickly came from the fans at the mention of the Jets, a soar subject that McCourty is all too familiar with.

McCourty lives close to the stadium in Foxborough and has enjoyed his time here thus far.

"I love living in Foxborough," said McCourty.

McCourty is excited to be apart of not only the NFL but as well as a New England Patriots.

The fans enjoyed the one-on-one time with McCourty and look forward to more speaker events at the Hall in the future.
