Foxborough Players Pitch in for College Baseball Teams

Foxborough players are suiting up for college baseball skills.

 

Foxborough players are having an impact on their college baseball teams this spring.

Nate Bayuk is having an outstanding campaign in his senior season at Boston College. The lefthander has been the go-to guy out of the bullpen for the Eagles. He pitched last weekend against Florida State in a pair of games. In 17 appearances, he has a 2-2 record with 29 strikeouts in 25.2 innings. Bayuk has only given up four walks and 11 runs. The Eagles are at North Carolina State this weekend.

Joe Nixon, a senior outfielder at Babson College and junior pitcher Brian Swanton are seeing action for the Beavers, who won eight out of nine recently. Nixon has been a lot of action lately and is batting .235 on the season with 13 runs scored and three RBI. Swanton is 2-2 with five starts and seven appearnances overall/ He has struck out 17 batters. Babson is 20-12 overall and will be playng a doubleheader at Springfield College Saturday before hosting UMass-Dartmouth Monday.

Joe Clagg is pitching in the bullpen for Eckerd College in Florida with a 0-1 record in 12 appearances. A junior, Clagg has 14 strikeouts.

T.J. Notrangelo is a freshman pitcher-outfielder for Mass. Maritime.  On the mound, he has a 1-1 record with five starts and three relief appearances. Notrangelo has a eight strikeouts in 16.2 innings.
