Foxborough High School Boys' Basketball Opens MIAA D3 South Sectional State Tourney in Norwell Monday

The Warriors earn the 17th seed in the tournament.

The Foxborough High School boys' basketball team recently capped off its best season under head coach CJ Neely with an 11-9 record, good enough for the 17th seed in next week's MIAA Division 3 South Sectional State Tournament.

The Warriors will travel to Norwell (11-9), the tournament's 16th seed, Monday for a preliminary round game at 7 p.m. The winner will get the first crack at the tournament's top seed, Wareham (19-1) on Wednesday, Feb. 27.

Foxborough opened the season with four straight wins before suffering its first loss at the Disney Tournament in Orlando, Fla. over winter vacation. The Warriors concluded the out-of-state trip with a 2-1 record but dropped three straight after returning home. Foxborough is 5-5 over its last 10 games but is currently riding a two-game winning streak with victories over Canton and Oliver Ames to conclude the regular season.
