Being down 3-2, the Warriors trailed for only trailed for 75 seconds as 2 goals from Katie Notarangelo put the Warriors up for good. Notarangelo would finish the day with a game high 5 goals.

“She’s a great player overall,” said Warriors coach Jessica Cercone of Notarangelo. “Its hard for a goalie when you have a switch player like that who can shoot anywhere. She just took advantage of being faster than their defense and she just found the net a lot.”

Coming out of the half up 10-6, the Warriors went to work putting away the Tigers. Taking advantage of facing a younger and more inexperienced team, the Warriors locked down defensively by only allowing 3 goals score and getting 8 goals to win 19-9

“Foxboro played hard. It was their senior day. They came to play. They just basically outplayed us. It was simple lacrosse and they played the better game,” said Oliver Ames coach Britt Sellmeyer.

Katie Notarangelo led scoring with a game best 5 goals. Behind her was Ellen Decker with 4 goals. Abby Tepper and Allie Peter both scored 3 goals each.

With the huge win capping off a successful Senior Day game, Coach Jessica Cercone had fond words for her departing seniors.

“Words can’t even describe what they mean. They’ve been incredible. Great group of leaders. Some of them like Meghan Fey have never played lacrosse in her life. She came out and started in goal this year. Very influential on the younger girls, all of them,” said Cercone.

Next for the Warriors will be their regular season finale against the King Philip Warriors on Friday May 21st. In their previous match up, King Philip defeated Foxboro 13-9. Game time is set for 3:30 at King Philip High School in Wrentham.
