Foxborough Boys' Tennis Opens MIAA State Tourney Play Friday Against Westwood

The Foxborough High School boys' tennis team earned the fifth seed in the MIAA Division 2 South Sectional State Tournament and will host Westwood in first round action Friday.

The Foxborough High School boys' tennis team turned in one of its best regular seasons in recent memory with a 16-3 record, good for second place in the Hockomock League Davenport Division behind 18-1 Sharon.

On Friday, Foxborough makes its second straight appearance in the MIAA Division 2 South Sectional State Tournament, this year as the No. 5 seed. The Warriors will host No. 12 Westwood (10-6) in first round action at 3 p.m. at the high school courts.

The winner advances to play the winner of Medfield-Walpole in the quarterfinal round at a date and time to be announced.
