One of the finest athletes to wear the blue and gold for Foxboro was recently honored for his achievements as a member of the Denver Broncos.
Foxboro High School graduate and former Denver Broncos center Tom Nalen had his name added to the Broncos' Ring of Honor earlier this week during half-time of Denver’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Nalen is the 24th member of the Broncos' Ring of Honor and will also receive his own pillar at the new Ring of Fame Plaza outside of Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
"Guys that I've looked up to throughout my career, getting to know these guys, it really is a classy group of guys, and I'm not sure I belong there," Nalen told the crowd according to the Denver Post.
Nalen graduated from Foxboro High School and attended Boston College. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in 1994 where he won two Super Bowls, was named to the All-Pro team three times, and was selected for the Pro Bowl five times. He was also named to the Broncos’ 50th Anniversary Team in 2009.
