FHS Athletes Named Hockomock All Stars

10 FHS Students were named Hockomock All Stars for their achievements in the fall season.

10 student-athletes from Foxborough High School achieved Hockomock All-Star honors for the fall season.

The football team saw two of their members get all-star nods. Senior wide receiver Greg Stamatov was once again named an all-star along with senior linebacker Andrew Bronsdon. Stamatov was fourth in the league in touchdown receptions with five. Bronsdon ended an impressive season by winning the Vin Igo Award for the most valuable Foxborough player in the Foxborough-Mansfield Thanksgiving game.

Sawyer Fleck and Dan Adair both received all-star honors for their achievements in boys’ soccer. Fleck was one of the league’s best scorers with 11 goals and 15 points total. This is Adair’s third Hockomock All-Star honor in four years for the senior midfielder.

On the girls’ side, soccer player Eva Mazzoni received a nod. The junior defender played a large leadership roll on the backline after the team experienced multiple senior injuries.

In volleyball, Ashley Snyder received her first all-star nod of her career. The junior will serve as co-captain for the 2012 season.

Abby Tepper and Kelise Morahan received nods for their part in field hockey’s successful season. This year, Tepper achieved only the fourth hat trick for the Warriors in 10 years while getting seven goals total. Morahan’s eight goals were good enough to tie freshman Marybeth Sweeney for the team lead.
