Four Patriots Selected for Pro Bowl

Bearing a Super Bowl appearance, Tom Brady, Logan Mankins, Matthew Slater and Aqib Talib will head to Hawaii in January to play in the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl.

Aqib Talib and Stephen Gostowski were the top vote getters in their position according to CBS Boston

The players were announced Friday night on the NFL Network and NFL.com. The vote was done by fans, players, and coaches with each group making up one-third of the vote.

Unlike past years, the 2014 Pro Bowl will not have the usual AFC vs. NFC format and will split teams into two squads named Team Sanders and Team Rice. The teams are named after NFL legends Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders. Fantasy football players from NFL.com will pick the teams from a pool of 90 places with assistance from Rice and Sanders.

The 2014 NFL Pro Bowl takes place on Jan. 26 at 2 p.m. Players selected for the Pro Bowl from teams that will play in the Super Bowl will not participate in the Pro Bowl.
