Tri-Town Chamber Announces Back to School Buy Local Favorite Summer Memory Contest

Enter Tri-Town Chamber's contest and win back to school prizes!

The back to school ads have already started and we’re at the beginning of August so how can summer memories make back to school sweeter?

The Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce has the answer, the First Annual Back to School Buy Local Contest.

Between July 25 and Aug. 15, children between the ages of 8-15 are encouraged to submit a 100-200 word essay on their Favorite Summer Memory along with photo or drawing. Three finalists will be chosen to have their entry posted on the Tri-Town Chamber Blog where friends and family can vote for their favorite.

The winner will be announced on Aug. 27 and awarded a Back to School Grand Prize totalling over $300 including a shopping spree at Mansfield Crossing. They will be invited with their parents to an awards ceremony breakfast on Aug. 29 at the Deutsche Bank Championship at 8:30am.

“Summer is such a great time for kids and families,” said Kara Griffin, Executive Director of the Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce.  “This contest is a way for the kids to share what makes summer special. Thanks to the generosity of our members, especially Mansfield Crossing, those summer memories can also help offset some of the back to school cost for a few families.  Not only will the winner receive a prize, but Mansfield Crossing as also offered prizes worth $100 for the two runners up.”
