Since its inception in 2002, Science from Scientists has brought science and technology to life for thousands of students in the Greater Boston area, including Foxobrough.

Dr. Erika Ebbel Angle, CEO and Founder of Science from Scientists, says the organization’s goal is to give “all students the chance to experience the joy of doing real experiments, make real discoveries and appreciate how amazing our world is.”

“Our materials target fourth to eighth grade students,” the website said. “Science from Scientists typically works with more than two dozen schools, roughly 2,000 students annually, to instruct children with our STEM curriculum.”

The event last Thursday, part of National Engineers Week, was an overwhelming success as children left the Raytheon Theatre at The Hall excited about science and engineering.

Dr. Angle is a MIT graduate with a doctorate in Biochemistry from Boston University School of Medicine. She founded Science from Scientists in 2002 and successfully drew attention to the newly-formed 501c(3) non-profit as her platform during her winning bid for Miss Massachusetts in 2004, according to the organization’s website.
