School Committee Says Farewell to Retiring Staff

12 employees of the Foxborough Public Schools will soon begin their retirement.

At the June 17 school committee meeting, 12 members of the Foxborough Public Schools said goodbye when they were honored for their work in the town's schools.

Each of the retirees received a gift from the committee along with a few kind words from the committee and Superintendent Debra Spinelli.

Below is a list of employees that are retiring along with their last position held and years of service.

  • Elizabeth Babbit - Taylor School Educational Assistant, 27 years
  • Linda Burtt - Taylor School Head Cook/Manager, 13 years
  • Mary Anne Cahan - FHS Art Teacher, 24 years
  • Jan Donaway - FHS Educational Assistant, six years
  • Catherine Dowling - Grade Five English/Social Studies Teacher, 28 years
  • Barbara Eaton - Foreign Languare Teacher and Department Head, 12 years
  • Mary Jeannotte - Grade 5 Math/Science Teacher, 12 years
  • Claudia O’Leary - Igo School Grade 1 Teacher, 20 years
  • Michael O’Leary - Facilities Manager, 11 years
  • Kathleen O’Malley - Ahern Educational Assistant, 17 years
  • Matherine Pennie - Grade 5 English/Social Studies Teacher, 36 years
  • Francine Sonis - Igo School Speech and Language Therapist
