Foxborough School Committee Endorses Contracts

Almost all Foxborough school employees will receive no new raises this school year.

The Foxborough School Committee has endorsed a set of contracts for the new school year.

According to the Sun Chronicle, close to all Foxborough School employees will receive no new raises this school year. Members of the Foxboro Education Association including teachers, guidance counselors, nurses, social workers and therapists will receive new raises next year.

The new raises in the next school year will add on 2 percent to next year's budget, approximately $319,253 said School Business Administrator Paul Jackson in the report.

The district's educational assistants, who negotiate a separate contact, will add $35,338 more.

In addition to the salary budget increases for next year are the raises an individual teacher would get for years of service and academic degrees.

It was also reported that medical office co-pays has increased from $5 to $15 as of June 30. Foxborough will reimburse employees the $10 increase for office visits that exceed a particular number.

Superintendent Debra Spinelli and Assistant Superintendent Amy Berdos have both agreed to take no raise next year, according to the Sun Chronicle.
