Foxborough Public Schools to Remain Closed Tuesday

Foxborough Schools Superintendent Debra Spinelli has confirmed with Foxborough Patch that the town's public schools will remain closed Tuesday as more than 70 percent of the community is without power.

Hurricane Sandy has hit Foxborough hard - putting nearly 75 percent of the town in the dark as of Monday night and forcing Schools Superintendent Debra Spinelli to keep public schools closed Tuesday.

"Unfortunately, schools will remain closed Tuesday, Oct. 30," Spinelli said. "At this time, almost 75 percent of the town is still without power. More information will be provided [Tuesday]."

This is the second consecutive weather-related school closing for the Foxborough Schools this year. The Foxborough school schedule has five built-in inclement weather days.
