Damon Amendolara's Thoughts On The Revolution and Manchester United Match

Damon Amendolara shared his comments on the Revs upcoming match with Manchester United. Read DA's thoughts on this game.

Damon Amendolara is the Sideline Reporter for the Revs broadcasts on Comcast SportsNet New England. He works with Announcer Brad Feldman and Color Analyst Jay Heaps during the matches. He can also be heard weeknights on The D.A. Show on 98.5 The Sports Hub. I asked Damon to share his thoughts on Wednesday Night’s game between the Revs and Manchester United. Here below are “DA’s Thoughts On The Match”.

Even though this is a friendly match for the Revs against Manchester United, do you feel coach Nicol will treat it just like and MLS game?

DA: I think this is very important to the Revs. They’re playing at home in front of a rare packed house, they’ll want to present themselves well. They’ve had a very tough season, so this could be a terrific moment for them if they are able to play well.

Manchester United are loaded up front with the likes of Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov. Do you think the Revs will just play everyone behind the ball, and just try to beat them on the counter-attack?

DA: I’m sure the Revs don’t want to give up a lot of scoring chances to one of the best clubs in the world, but I don’t expect the Revs to try and keep this game nil-nil. I think the Revs will take some chances of their own.

Who are the key players you are looking forward to see for Manchester United?

DA: I really want to see Rooney. He’s one of the best players in the world and a renowned hot head. What will touring the United States mean for him? How intense and serious will he be? Very intrigued.

Who are the key players for the Revs in this match?

DA: The entire back line and goalie Matt Reis. Man United is one of the very best on the planet. Can the Revs limit the offensive firepower they’ll bring over here?

I want to thank Mr. Amendolara for his time, and sharing his thoughts on this upcoming Revs match. You can also follow him on twitter at theDAshow .
