Walter was the owner of a service station in Roslindale, until becoming a licensed electrician for different hotels, contractors and himself. He was a long time VFW member and a member of the “Mens Fighters Breakfast Club” which met monthly in Dorchester and reminisced with older boxing champions of the past. He was a lifelong Red Sox fan, attending games over many years.
