Take Foxborough Patch's Poll on Trader Joe's

Trader Joe's liquor license request will be on the Foxborough selectmen's agenda Tuesday night.

After not reaching a discussion on whether to allow the transfer of a all-alcoholic license to Trader Joe's to be built at Patriot Place, the Foxborough selectmen will take up the matter again Tuesday night at the Burrill School at 7 p.m.

Trader Joe's is looking to buy the current license owned by Central Wine & Spirits. Owner William Varkas is looking to sell his business.

Selectmen closed the public hearing part of the hearing at the April 10 to allow Louis Cassis, the town's special attorney on liquor licenses, to work with Trader Joe's to come up with an agreement which would limited the sale of hard liquor during ticketed events at Gillett Stadium.
