Rep. Winslow Applauds Norfolk Board of Selectmen Vote Against Casino in Foxborough

the Norfolk Board of Selectmen who voted unanimously against the casino in Foxborough.

State Representative Dan Winslow (R – Norfolk) today praised the Norfolk Board of Selectmen who voted unanimously against the casino in Foxborough last night.

Representative Winslow attended the Norfolk Board of Selectmen meeting to discuss the proposed casino to be built by Wynn Resorts in Foxborough.  Recently passed casino legislation does not require that the host community negotiate with the applicant.  However,  Foxborough Board of Selectmen will have the final say on whether it chooses to negotiate with Wynn Resorts. The Norfolk Board of Selectman will convey their opposition to Foxborough, and a citizens group will reach out as well.

Representative Winslow will continue to work with all the towns in his district to make sure that the communities’ voices and concerns are heard every step of the way.
