Rep. Michele Bachmann won the Iowa Straw Poll Saturday, affirming her status as the front runner Republican candidate to challenge President Obama in the 2012 Presidential race.
According to the Huffington Post, Bachmann received 28 percent of the nearly 17,000 votes cast. Texas Rep. Ron Paul came in at a close second with 27 percent. Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty came in third with 13 percent of the vote but announced shortly after that he was quitting his campaign for President.
