Midday Election Turnout in Foxborough at 11%

Find out how many voters from Foxborough stopped by the polls by noon.

As of noon, about 11% of registered voters in Foxborough decided to cast their ballot in the special election for U.S. Senate.

According to counts taken at noon, 1,243 ballots were filled out in the race to fill the U.S. Senate seat vacated by John Kerry.

Precinct two and three had the most voters at midday with 295 and 294 voters each. In third place is precinct four with 234 voters. Precinct 5 had 216 voters and precinct one had 199.

Low turnout is expected in Foxborough and across the state. Town Clerk Bob Cutler predicted a turnout of 35 percent while Secretary of State William Galvin said he believed that state-wide turnout would be 37 percent. 

The polls will remain open at the Ahern Middle School until 8 p.m.
