Kraft Group Lawsuit Against Foxborough Dropped

Kraft Group won't go forward with lawsuit against Foxborough.

A lawsuit filed by the Kraft Group against the town of Foxborough and the selectmen has been dropped, according to selectmen chairman Larry Harrington.

At the start of Tuesday’s meeting, Harrington said the case was dropped with no requirement made of the town.

The lawsuit was a result of the dispute over the billboards on Route 1. The Kraft Group was also charging their civil rights were violated when they weren’t allowed to speak at the March 13 selectmen’s meeting. Officials from the Kraft were allowed to speak at the March 27 meeting after a judge ruled they had a right to speak at the meeting.

As details of the case are released, selectmen are expecting to be asked questions about what is contained in it. Harrington suggested the board hold a meeting next week to discuss the case.
