How Many Applied to be Foxboro's Next Town Manager?

A strong pool of candidates was reported this week when Selectman Lorraine Brue gave an update on the search for a new town manager.

According to Brue, the Collins Center, who has helped with the recruitment process, received 34 applications for the job since last month. 16 of those resumes have been sent to the screening committee with the top eight to be interviewed over two nights.

Right now that’s committee is developing the questions for that process but screening committee chair John Spinney told Brue that he feels very good about the group and the approach they are taking.

Another update is expected closer to the holidays once recommendations from the committee are given for who should go on to public interviews with the selectmen and after the Collins Center does background and reference checks.

The process to find a new town manager is expected to end sometime in January.
