Foxborough Town Meeting Tonight at High School

Foxborough voters will deal with 30 articles on Monday's town meeting warrant.

With the Foxborough election over and the casino project no longer in the picture, the town is now focusing on town meeting, which starts Monday night at the high school auditorium at 7:30 p.m.

Voters will be dealing 30 articles on the warrant. Subjects to be voted on include town employees serving in the miltary receive the difference between their town salary and what they are paid in the services. Town manager Kevin Paicos, who is in the Army, said he will not be included in the plan. The proposal is to make sure town employees don't suffer financial hardships, while serving their country.

Another measure considers $100 fines for unlicensed parking in the neighborhoods around Gillette Stadium during events.

New contracts for police, fire, highway employees and library workers are also on the warrant.

The entire warrant is available here. Final Warrant 5-7-12.pdf

Let people near the stadium park cars in their driveway for money during stadium events. They have to put up with enough crap. It's the least the town can do.

Let them park the cars. If they have to deal with all the traffic, noise, air pollution etc. from stadium events, they should at least make some money off of parking cars on their own property.
