Foxborough Selectmen's Notebook

The Foxborough Board of Selectmen took these actions at their April 10 meeting.

 

While the debate on whether to grant a full liquor license to Trader Joe's took up most of the April 10 Foxborough's selectmen's meeting, the board was able to get some other business done.

The board decided to approve:

-A request from Foxborough Recreation to approval for temporary street signs to assist the traffic flow for the Boy Scouts second annual Chuck Event at the CRRA property on Mill Street June 1 and 2.

-The resignation of Charlie Cifford from the Foxborough Historical Commission.

-Renewal of appointments of Bill Casbarra, Lee Estabrook and John Rhoads to a one year term on the Sign By-Law Committee.

-Acceptance of a $300 donation from Larry and Judith Harrington to the Veterans Gift Fund to be used for postage for care packages to the troops.

-A one day entertainment license for a car show at 59 Washington St. on May 19.

-A common victuallers license for Loewen's Cafe to be opened in the Foxboro Sports Center, 10 East Belcher Road.

-A request for approval for Foxboro Youth Baseball and Softball Opening Day Parade.

-A public hearing to be scheduled on April 19 for a special permit for an accessory apartment at 239 East St.

-A request for a message to be included from the town in the Shriners' Football Classic program. The event is held in June at Gillette Stadium.
