Ballot Set For May 2 Foxborough Election

Voters to decide on top contested race.

Foxborough's filing deadline has expired. Voters are set to decide on 2 major races come May 2.  

However, according to Town Clerk Robert Cutler, candidates have until March 30 to withdraw their nominations.

The stage is set for a three way race for one selectmen seat. Steven Sloan, a Foxboro highway department employee, Incumbent Paul Mortenson and former member Mark S. Sullivan are all facing off.

A 3-way race for two seats on the planning board is in place. Incumbent William Grieder, John Rhoads and Shannon L. McLaughlin will face off.

Kevin Penders and Thomas Magee will grab the two open seats on the Boyden Library Board of Trustees.

Paul Steeves, Chairman of the Board of the Health returned his papers to run for one unopposed seat.

Beverley Lord  is unopposed for one seat on the School Committee, Charlene Kaye is unopposed for a 5-year term on the Housing Authority, Richard Pacella is unopposed for the Water and Sewer Commission and Thomas Buckley incumbent for board of assessors will also go unopposed.

For those who are not registered to vote and wish to vote in the upcoming election are asked to visit Town Hall by April 12 to complete a voter registration application.

Foxborough's Town Election will take place on May 2.
