Around Town: Back to School Update, Billboard Talk, Hersey Farm License and More

Here's a look at Foxborough's meeting schedule this week, Aug. 27-31.

The following meetings will be held in Foxborough this week.

Monday, Aug. 27:

Foxborough School Committee, 6:30 p.m. at Media Center of Foxborough High School: The Foxborough School Committee invited the Board of Selectmen to participate in Monday’s walkthrough of Foxborough High School to see the renovations and improvements made to the facility with Foxborough Schools Business Administrator Bill Yukna. Following the walkthrough, the committee will meet in the Media Center of FHS to conduct the rest of Monday’s meeting. The committee is expected to hear from Dr. Amy Berdos as she highlights summer professional development work across the district. The committee will also appoint a new nurse, review the district’s goals for the year and hear a back-to-school update from Superintendent Debra Spinelli. Click here for the full agenda.

Foxborough Conservation Commission, 7 p.m., Andrew Gala Jr. Meeting Room, Town Hall: The Conservation Commission will receive an update on the Hersey Farm license, review and accept the conservation restriction for Oak Street Water Treatment Facility and review the Open Space & Recreation plan. Board of Water and Sewer Commissioners, 7 p.m., Water Department Office, Town Hall: The Water & Sewer Commissioners are expected to discuss a sewer connection at 10 Pleasant St., a hardship sewer connection at 63 Morse St., the estimated completion date of the sewer district and administration of billboard advertising contract with FXP. The commissioners will also be updated on the talks taking place between the Kraft Organization and the public advisory committee. Click here for full agenda.

Tuesday, Aug. 28:

Board of Selectmen, 6 p.m., Andrew Gala Meeting Room, Town Hall: The Board of Selectmen will meet in executive session to discuss union and non-union personnel.
