A new plan to bring 20 single family homes on 5.6 acres to Community Way in East Foxboro is now in the early stages of planning.
The project is being constructed under the state's 40B affordable housing law which requires towns to have at least 10 percent affordable housing according to the Foxboro Reporter.
As of last April, the amount of affordable housing in Foxboro is at 8.6 percent.
While the zoning approval process for 40B affordable housing does have some leniency, the project still has to be approved by the planning board and comply with health regulations, wetlands laws, building codes, and other local regulations.
Developers Daniel Russell and Joseph Lynch are developing the project under the name Fox Comm Way LLC.
