Stop Sticks from Foxborough Police Help Catch Robbery Suspect

After a chase down Route 95, through the woods, and into a Foxborough backyard, the Massachusetts State Police was able to apprehend a robbery suspect last Friday in part due to the work of Foxborough police officers.

According to Foxborough Police, dispatchers Peter Curran and Robert Randall helped the search when they heard about the pursuit down Route 95 South on a region-wide radio channel.

After being made aware of the situation, Foxborough Police Sergent Scott Austin was able to deploy a set of stop sticks near Exit 7 on Route 95 South.

Designed to damage the tires of the car, the sticks did exactly that when the vehicle of the suspect hit the sticks and crashed his car.

With the vehicle damaged, the suspect ran into the woods on the Foxborough/Mansfield boarder. Detectives Scott Hodson and Patrick Morrison along with Officers David Foscaldo, Lucas Drayton, Douglas Miller, Sgt. Richard Noonan and Lt. Allan Haskell were all assigned with helping the state police find the suspect who was soon arrested in a backyard on Grove Street.

The suspect was wanted in connection with three robberies in Abington, East Bridgewater, and Brockton.
