State Trooper Released from Hospital, Alleged Drunk Driver Arraigned

State trooper Michael Isom was seriously injured after being struck on Interstate 93.

State trooper Michael Isom, assigned to the Foxborough barracks, was injured after his cruiser was struck by an SUV.

According to state police, the accident occurred at 2:30 a.m. on Interstate 93 south in Randolph. Isom was in his cruiser working a construction detail at the time when he was struck from behind by a Land Rover Discovery.

The operator of the Land Rover Discovery was suspected to be intoxicated by alcohol.

Isom was transported to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries. He was later released from the hospital Friday, April 22, around 5 p.m.

Leslie K. Minasian, operator of the Land Rover, was treated at Norwood Hospital and released.

Minisian faces charges of drunken driving, negligent driving, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and a marked lane violation. She was arraigned Friday in Quincy District Court.
