Saltis Ruled a Dangerous Person, Will Stay in Jail Until Trial

A Foxboro man accused of trying to murder his wife will remain in prison pending trial.

Glenn Saltis of Foxboro has been ordered to remain in jail as a dangerous person without bail by Dedham Superior Court Judge Robert Cosgrove.

The decision was made last week despite Cosgrove having the case under advisement pending a status hearing on Aug. 7.

The Foxboro resident is facing six charges stemming from an alleged incident where he attempted to kill his ex-wife. The charges include assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault with intent to maim, assault and battery, and aggravated assault and battery.

In July, he pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Salitis is expected back in court for a pretrial hearing on Sept. 5. His trial is planned for Oct. 29 according to the Sun Chronicle.
