Police Log: Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, Quiet Night at Patriots-Giants, and More

The following is from the Foxboro Police Log. Where arrests and charges are mentioned, they do not imply conviction.

August 29

1:17 p.m. - After pulling over a vehicle on Neponset Avenue, police arrested and charged Stephen Fraser, 29, of Conway, NH with failing to register as a sex offender.

Patriots vs. Giants: With 51,800 fans in attendance for the final preseason game at Gillette Stadium, only two arrests were made and eight people were taken into protective custody. Foxboro Police Chief Ed O’Leary contributed the low custody count to a late arriving and early leaving crowd.

The following were taken into custody during the Patriots’ game against the Giants:

  • A 41 year old male from Waterville, ME was taken into protective custody.
  • A 46 year old male from Norton was taken into protective custody.
  • A 17 year old male from Scituate was taken into protective custody.
  • A 31 year old male from Westfield was taken into protective custody.
  • A 35 year old male from Peabody was taken into protective custody.
  • A 23 year old male from Newton was taken into protective custody.
  • Alexa Martinez, 20, from Freehold, NJ was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
  • A 21 year old male from Boylston was taken into protective custody.
  • Matthew Kaskel, 23, no town listed, was arrested and charged with tress passing
  • A 23 year old male from North Kingston, RI was taken into protective custody.

11:13 p.m.  - A 27 year old at Jake & Joe’s was taken into protective custody.

August 30

12:39 a.m. - An employee at the McDonalds on Route 1 called police to report a potential drunk driver in the drive-through. While police were on their way to the fast food restaurant, the employee called back to say that an open container could be seen in the vehicle.

After police arrived on the scene, Chad Ettwein, 39, of Acton, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol.
