One Hospitalized in Accident on 495 North Near Exit 14

An eighteen wheeler tractor collided with a car; car occupant seriously injured

At 11:05 a.m. Friday, State Police recieved multiple calls alerting them to a collision involving an 18-wheeler tractor and a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix on Rte. 495 Northbound near exit 14.

The driver of the Pontiac, a 38-year-old man, was seroiusly injured and transported to the Boston Medical Center.

The tractor was a 2007 Ford Frieghtliner tractor, which at this time State Police are reporting had no trailer, was registered in New York. The truck was operated by a 46-year-old man from New York City, and he did not sustain any injuries.

At this time State Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
