Judge Rules Foxborough’s Glenn Saltis a ‘Dangerous Person’ Following Alleged Assault of Ex-Wife

Saltis, the town's wiring inspector, was found to be a dangerous person and held without bail Tuesday following the alleged assault on his ex-wife, Julie, on Memorial Day.

A Wrentham District Court judge ruled

“Defendant [Glenn Saltis] was found to be a dangerous person and held without bail at 4:45 p.m. [Tuesday] by Judge Stephen Ostrach at Wrentham District Court,” said David Traub, spokesman for the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office.

The Norfolk County DA’s Office has been assisting Foxborough Police in the investigation of the “serious domestic assault” incident that allegedly occurred at Saltis’ 72 Ridge Rd. home on Memorial Day morning.

Saltis, 49, allegedly attacked and severely injured his ex-wife, Julie, from the master bedroom of a home they once shared. Julie Saltis reportedly suffered a gash on the right side of her head and was being treated at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence for what was described by the Norfolk County District Attorney’s office as “life-threatening” injuries.

Traub said Julie Saltis has since been released from the hospital and is recovering.

Foxborough police arrested Glenn Saltis not long after the alleged assault on Memorial Day occurred and charged him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault with intent to maim. He was transported to Norwood Hospital after reportedly suffering from hypothermia after police found him in the Neponset Reservoir during the initial investigation of the incident.

and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, mayhem, assault to murder, and aggravated assault and battery.

Glenn Saltis was ordered to be held without bail following that May 28th arraignment – the same outcome following his dangerousness hearing Tuesday.
