Injured Teen Medflighted from Patriot Place Thursday Night Released from Hospital

The 16-year-old girl suffered undisclosed injuries from a fall while ice skating at Patriot Place's Winter Skate Thursday.

If you thought you heard a helicopter flying low over Foxborough Thursday night you were correct. Here's what happened:

A 16-year-old girl was released from the hospital Friday after suffering injuries from an ice skating accident at Patriot Place Thursday night, according to Foxborough Fire Captain Ed Noonan.

"[Thursday's incident was a] skating accident," Noonan said. "SGirl fell, striking her head on the ice. Long story short she was released [from the hospital Friday] so nothing of significance."

Noonan said Foxborough Fire called Medflight because the injury, while undisclosed, was to the girl's head.

"We thought the best course of action was flying her to Boston instead of a ground transport," Noonan said.
