Foxborough's National Night Out is Tuesday

Foxborough will participate in the "28th Annual National Night Out," a unique crime and drug prevention event on Tuesday, August 2.

The Foxboro Police department and The Foxboro Jaycees are joining forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the "28th Annual National Night Out" (NNO), a unique crime and drug prevention event being held on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, from 6 to 9pm on the Foxboro Town Common.

All local residents are invited to participate in this fun family evening designed to heighten awareness of crime and drug prevention efforts in the community; generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

The evening’s events will include music and a Bouncy house for the kids, The Police will be doing Fingerprinting kits for families and a drug enforcement presentation; the Jaycees will be giving away glow sticks to the kids and serving Ice Cream provided by the Lafayette House. Other organizations including the YMCA, HUGS and New Hope will all have displays and activities as well.
