Foxboro Woman Involved in 7-Car Crash Wednesday

A woman was killed and two other critical injured in a seven-car crash on Route 95 North Wednesday morning.

A 20-year-old Foxboro woman was among those involved in an early-morning car accident on Route 95 Wednesday that killed an elderly Jamaica Plain woman.

The accident, which remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police, involved seven vehicles and began at 2:09 a.m. when a 2004 Audi A4 lost control, struck the guardrail and spun around, so that it was facing oncoming traffic, according to a police statement Wednesday afternoon.

Stacey Bourlos, the woman from Foxboro, was driving a 2007 Kia Spectra. State police did not indicate that she had to be hospitalized Wednesday, unlike several other drivers and passengers.

Elefthria Pantekidis, 71 of Jamaica Plain, was among four occupants of a 2008 Cadillac DTS involved in the accident. She was pronounced dead at Norwood Hospital Wednesday morning.

The driver of the Audi that initiated the accident was Milton J. McCarthy, 23 of Dorchester, police said. He suffered serious injuries when his car was then struck by an oncoming vehicle and was transported to Boston Medical Center, where he is in critical condition.

The accident involved three consecutive collisions and happened at the Neponset Avenue exit on Route 95 Northbound.
