Foxborough Police: Designate a Sober Driver this St. Patrick's Day

The Foxborough Police Department asks you to celebrate St. Patrick's Day responsibly.

With Sunday being Saint Patrick's Day, the Foxborough Police Department are asking those who choose to celebrate the holiday do so responsibly.

"Please exercise caution and designate a sober driver," the police department said on its Facebook page. "If you see someone on the road who you believe may be impaired, don't hesitate to dial 911. Your tips may help save someone's life."

Along with the message, FPD shared an alarming statistic: "2/5 of all deaths in crashes between 2006 and 2010 involved a drunk driver during the St. Patrick’s Day holiday."
