Foxborough Police Arrests: Quincy Man Charged with Unlawful Wiretapping Outside Bank of America

Arrests reported from Foxborough's police logs from Aug. 17.

Friday, Aug. 17

11:22 a.m. – Ian A. Brinkley, 22, of 66 Walker St., Quincy was arrested outside Bank of America on School Street in Foxborough and charged with disorderly conduct, trespassing and unlawful wiretapping. Police reports identified Brinkley as a protester associated with Lyndon LaRouche’s Democrats.

LaRouche’s Democrats is a group purporting to be Democrats abiding by the principles of the U.S. Labor Party leader. The protesters often set up tables in common places with posters depicting President Barack Obama as Adolf Hitler.

Brinkley, according to police reports, was asked to leave by Foxborough Police after the department received several complaints.

Brinkley was then arrested after allegedly not following police orders and failing to leave the area outside Bank of America, according to police reports. In addition to the trespassing and disorderly conduct charges, Brinkley was charged with unlawful wiretapping after police discovered he was allegedly using a recording device outside the bank to record people without their knowledge or consent, according to police reports.
