Norwood Police arrested a Foxborough man early Thursday morning for larceny and drug possession after a Norwood resident allegedly saw him take items out of a neighboring house.

Lawrence Parnell, 38, of Foxborough, was charged with larceny from a building, entering a dwelling without breaking to  commit a felony, and possession of a Class B Substance, Cocaine.

Norwood Police received a 911 call at 4:06 a.m. Thursday from an alert neighbor reporting a "prowler on the property of 4 Railroad Ave.," according to police reports. The home at that address, according to police, is currently under construction.

The truck was found on scene with the keys in the ignition, according to police. Parnell was found a short time later nearby. After being questioned, he was placed under arrest and the truck searched - which is when police found Parnell was in possession of a prescription bottle bearing his name, but containing Cocaine, according to police.

"In addition to the ladder, numerous other items which belonged on the construction site were recovered in the bed of the pick-up truck," police said. "Parnell was arraigned at Dedham District Court and is being held at the Norfolk County House of Correction in Dedham. Parnell has a lengthy criminal record. He has been designated a Level Three Sex Offender by the Sex Offender Registry Board."
