Foxborough Man Arraigned in Boston on Sex for a Fee Charge

Reynold Levau, 44, of Foxborough, was arrested and charged with enticement of a child for the purposes of sex for a fee.

BOSTON – A Foxborough man was one of five men arraigned Friday in Boston Municipal Court on charges that the men each solicited sex from Boston Police officers, Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said in a press release.

Reynold Levau, 44, of Foxborough, was arrested Thursday by the Human Trafficking Division of The Boston Police Department’s Family Justice Unit and charged with enticement of a child for the purposes of sex for a fee, according to the press release.

Also arrested by Boston Police were:

  • John Caputo, 64, of South Boston was charged with seeking sex for a fee. Caputo is currently on bail for an incident in which he allegedly sought sex with a Boston Police officer posing as a 15-year-old girl.
  • [Name Withheld], 23, of Needham was charged with enticement of a child for the purposes of sex for a fee.
  • Poojan Mehta, 28, of Roxbury, was charged with enticement of a child for the purposes of sex for a fee.
  • Peter Salvucci, 55, of Waltham, was charged with seeking sex for a fee.

Boston Police detectives investigating online enticement reportedly posed as females of various ages online and were contacted by each of the defendants.

Levau, [Withheld], and Mehta allegedly believed the females they were contacting were 15 years old, according to the press release. Officers approached the suspects at the prearranged meeting locations and confirmed that they were targets by calling the phone numbers the suspects had used to set up the meetings.

All five defendants’ phones rang, according to the press release.

Suffolk Assistant District Attorney Katherine Powell recommended $500 bail for each defendant, plus revocation of Caputo’s bail on the earlier case. Judge Thomas Horgan did not impose bail and declined to revoke Caputo’s bail on his open 2011 case in Dorchester District Court, according to the press release.

The defendants will return to court on various dates between September and October.
