Foxboro Woman Arrested in Sharon After Prostitution and Conspiracy Investigation

A joint investigation between Sharon Police, Walpole Police, and the Norfolk County Police Anti-Crime Task Force has resulted in multiples arrests over a two day period related to a prostitution investigation.

On Jan. 9 and 10, police arrested six people at the Econo Lodge on Route 1 after executing several search warrants related to the investigation.

On Jan. 9 police arrested and charged Courtney Karman, 22, of Worcester and Shannon Owens, 28, of New York City, N.Y. with prostitution for a fee and conspiracy to commit prostitution.

On Jan. 10, police arrested Angela Baker, 26, Foxboro on a default warrant out of the Quincy District Court for violating an abuse prevention order and charged her with conspiracy, possession of a Class B drug, and speeding.

Suzanne Thorne, 27 of Billerica was arrested and charged with prostitution for a fee and numerous outstanding arrest warrants.

James McCarthy, 27, of Hingham, Mass. was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit prostitution.

Maurice Scott, 26, of Mattapan was arrested and charged with deriving support from prostitution, failure to register as a sex offender, and conspiracy to commit prostitution.

All parties arrested were later arraigned at the Stoughton District Court. The case remains under investigation.
