A rainbow flag hanging outside the Foxboro Universalist Church Sunday was ripped from from it's flagpole Sunday.
A statement by the church given to the Sun Chronicle says the act of vandalism appears to be consistent with other universalist churches.
According to the church, seven universalist churches have reported at least 11 cases of vandalism related to rainbow flags, which signify''s the church's welcoming to to gay, bisexual and transgender people.
The community is invited to the rededicating of a new flag this Sunday at 11 a.m.
