Foxboro Crime Incidents and Serious Car Crashes Down in 2013

Compared to 2012, Foxboro saw a slight reduction of calls for service during 2013 according to numbers released by Foxboro Police Chief Ed O’Leary.

In 2013, there were 20,754 calls, a .018 percent drop. Serious Part I crime which include assaults, robbery and burglary crimes remain stable at 249 while arrests have gone down. In the last year there were 465 criminal cases, 265 criminal summons, and 532 protective custody cases.

There were also 2,252 total crime incidents which is a decrease by 20 percent.

Serious car crashes are down to 279 which resulted in one fatality and 62 personal injuries. Tuesday was the day with the most crashes and the most crash prone hours are between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
