Fleeing Suspect Arrested in Foxborough
A Foxborough suspect is facing a variety of charges today after being arrested in Foxborough Tuesday.
A Foxborough suspect is facing a variety of charges Wednesday after being arrested in Foxborough Tuesday, according to the Sun Chronicle.
The suspect, Mark Dipillo of Foxborough, was pulled over for a routine traffic stop Tuesday in South Attleboro when police discovered, after a routine check, the driver "was wanted on a Quincy District Court warrant for a larceny charge filed by Randolph police."
According to the Sun Chronicle, Dipillo fled after being stopped by police for a routine traffic violation, injuring a police officer, Patrolman Anthony Lofton, who was dragged about 15 feet from the feeling vehicle. A second officer, Joseph Rebelo, was also struck by the car. Lofton was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital to check on a shoulder injury. Rebelo declined medical treatment.

The incident prompted a manhunt, which resulted in Dipillo's arrest by Foxborough police.
Dipillo is facing a variety of charges including two counts of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon: the car, four counts of defacing property and driving negligently, the Sun Chronicle reports.
